I find the history and evolution of ideas fascinating, which is why I have devoted my career to finding solutions to research and innovation challenges.
My name is Gerry Kanter. I'm a technically savvy design and research specialist. I have a master’s degree in policy and evaluation from Carleton University (2014) as well as bachelor degrees in Political Science (2008) and Industrial Design (2000). For the last two years, I have also worked as a contract instructor developing online and blended courses for Carleton university students.
I work at the cutting edge of high tech, applying CAD modeling, metrology 3D scanning and reverse engineering to solve design and engineering problems. My research work focuses on finding common links between innovation and design to develop, exhibits, automated displays and online portals. In my spare time I help organize workshops and events for RECODE Innovation Labs, a local group that links designers and entrepreneurs trough a community initiatives.
